2:12 for Men

Thursday 30 April at 7:30pm
Your Woman-winning her heart
2:12 for men (of all ages) is a ministry that meets on the last Thursday of the month at 7.30pm in the basement to teach, equip and encourage men towards godliness and effectiveness in all of life.

First Thursday Book Club

This month we will discuss the C.S. Lewis classic, ‘The Great Divorce’.
“‘The Great Divorce’ remains in the mind like a vivid dream – whimsical, wry, yet profoundly serious. At a time when books about “real life” visits to Heaven (and Hell!) contend for the reader’s attention, Lewis’ engaging vision of our eternal abode stands out as a wonderful example of fictive imagery used in the service of greater truths.”

Copies can be purchased from the booknook.

SHUM (Surry Hills Urban Mission) – March Team

SHUM is an urban mission to the “street community” of Surry Hills and the Central Station Area.

For one month each Tuesday evening a food and beverage stand is setup, a team gather at Central Station (Eddy Ave) to hand out Tea, Coffee and Sandwiches to those who are homeless. The SHUM team demonstrates the love of Christ to these people who would never step into a traditional church. As they build relationships with many who return on Tuesdays, the team slowly develops opportunities to share their own faith in Jesus.

Narwee Baptist Church have volunteered for March the team consists of – Brent Davis, Rebecca Mawhinney, Peter Mawhinney, Peter Wilson, Lyn Wadson, Betty Jukes, Graham Nancarrow, Michael Tang and Gary Lau
